HOME STAGING ALL-ROUNDER

(DRIVING TRUCK/MOVING FURNITURE/WAREHOUSE DUTIES)

 

About us

We are a home staging business servicing Melbourne and surrounds, now wanting to expand our small team!

Home staging is a proven and effective way to sell a property quicker and for a higher price – a necessary tool used by real estate agents and homeowners looking to hit the ground running when they put their property on the market.

This role will be a casual full-time position, starting off at around 10 hrs/week, and then gradually building up to full-time hours as we grow. Working hours will generally be between 9-5, Mon-Fri

The main objective of this role is to help the team in staging properties for sale; transforming these properties and helping them reach their best potential in order to appeal to the majority of home buyers. We are looking for someone who is passionate and has a strong work ethic.

About the role

This exciting new role calls for a motivated, energetic and flexible individual for an all-rounder type of position. With everyday looking a little different than the last, this role is perfect for someone who dislikes mundane, boring jobs!

Your main duties will include driving our (small) company truck and/or van, loading and unloading furniture into beautiful properties around Melbourne, setting up and staging the properties, and reporting to the team leader and head stylists.

You do not need to have a truck licence for this role as our truck is small and doesn’t require one. However, a manual driving licence is required for this position. The perfect candidate will be able to drive a manual vehicle well and be comfortable with driving a small truck (or have a willingness to learn how to – we are happy to train someone in this who checks all of our other boxes).

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Loading/unloading the company truck and other items into properties and our warehouse
  • Assisting and collaborating with the team
  • Driving the company truck/van to and from properties
  • Hanging artwork on walls
  • Setting up and staging rooms
  • Housekeeping and maintenance of the warehouse
  • Assembling furniture
  • Collecting/dropping off keys to real estate offices

Qualifications & Experience

  • Own a manual licence, and be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle (highly preferred but not required)
  • Be able to drive a small truck (truck licence not required)
  • Previous removalist or truck driving experience preferred but not essential
  • A logical brain that can pack a truck in an efficient, safe and tetris-like manner!

  • High level of communication skills so that operations can run smoothly amongst the entire team
  • Presentable and respectable
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask
  • Exceptional attention to detail
